Pyramid #2

Game Type: Card - P

Supplies:

  • Deck of cards

Instructions

In the center of the table, the dealer makes a pyramid out of cards. The pyramid consists of 5 cards laid on the table face up. Then 4 cards laid above it, then 3, then 2 and then 1. When the pyramid is complete, the result is a triangle with 1 card at the top and 5 at the bottom. The remainder of the cards are dealt face down to the players. The player to the left of the dealer starts by flipping one of his cards face up. If the card flipped matches the card on the top of the pyramid, the player assigns 5 drinks to be split among the players, himself included. If he flips a card in the row with 2 cards, he may assign 4 drinks. If a card is flipped and occurs in the row with 3 cards, he may assign 3 drinks, 2 drinks for a card in the row with 4 cards and 1 drink for cards in the row with 5 cards. If a card appears in two rows the drinks are added together. For example, if a player flips a 5 and there is a five at the top of the pyramid, and a 5 at the bottom, 6 drinks are assigned by whoever flipped the card. Play continues around the table until all the players have flipped all their cards.
