2011 Super Bowl Cocktails

The Touchdown T-Bird
  • 1 oz. Ketel One Vodka
  • 1/4 oz. Orange Liqueur
  • 1/4oz. Aperol
  • 1 1/2 oz. Orange Juice

Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake well. Serve in a cocktail glass and garnish with an orange wedge.

Minted Man in Motion
  • 2 oz. Ketel One vodka
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 3 cucumbers
  • 4 mint leaves

Muddle mint, cucumber and simple syrup in a mixing glass. Add Ketel One and lime juice and shake with ice. Strain over fresh ice in a high ball glass and garnish with a slice of cucumber.

Cilantro Quarterback Blitz
  • 2 oz. Ketel One Vodka
  • 1 oz. Club Soda
  • 3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3/4 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 4 Slices Cucumber
  • 5 Cilantro Leaves

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber and cilantro leaves. Add ice, Ketel One Vodka, lime juice and simple syrup and shake well. Strain mixture into a glass full of fresh ice, top with club soda and garnish with a lime wedge.

Red Zone Refresher
  • 1 oz. Ketel One Citroen
  • 1/4 oz. Grand Marnier
  • 2 oz. Grapefruit Juice
  • Club Soda
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 Orange

In a cocktail shaker, muddle 1 lemon slice, a lime slice and 4 orange slices. Fill shaker with ice and add Ketel One Citroen, Grand Marnier and grapefruit juice. Shake vigorously and strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice. Top off with club soda, garnish with an orange wedge and enjoy.

Black and Gold Punch
Here we are making a great Superbowl version of a classic Jamaican drink, the Stout punch. Black and Gold being the Steelers colors represented by Stout for Black and Herradura Reposado tequila for gold.
  • 1 oz. Herradura Reposado Tequila
  • 10 oz. Stout
  • 1/2 cup Condensed milk (sweetened)
  • 1/16 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1/16 tsp. Cinnamon

Pour all ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine with a whisk. Strain into a chilled beer mug and serve.

Green Bay Margarita
This twist on a margarita is a great way to celebrate Green Bay's place in the finals. Green Bay's team colors - green and gold - are represented through pineapple and fresh mint.
  • 1 1/2 oz. Herradura Reposado
  • 3/4 oz. Fresh pressed lime juice
  • 10-12 Mint Leaves
  • 1/2 oz. Simple syrup
  • 4 x 1 inch cubes Pineapple

Place pineapple and mint into a Boston shaker and crush with a muddler. Add ice to the shaker. Add all the liquid ingredients. Shake hard, and then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

The Steel Curtain
Pair with a Terrible Towel and enjoy.
  • 2 parts Hornitos Plata Tequila
  • 4 parts beer of your choice
  • 2 parts Lemon-Lime Soda

Mix in a large glass with ice. Garnish with a lime. Serve and enjoy.

The Old-Fashioned Cheesehead
A classic cocktail for a classic team with a Wisconsin twist.
  • 2 parts Hornitos Anejo Tequila
  • 2-3 dashes of bitters
  • Agave nectar to taste (desired level of sweetness)

Add nectar and bitters to an old-fashioned glass and stir. Add ice and Hornitos Tequila then stir well. Top off glass with ice and garnish with a chunk of sharp Wisconsin cheddar cheese.
