First off, it is spelt "Midori"; it is also the Japanese word for "Green", hence the name of the product.
Midori and Amaretto are both sweet liqueurs, and need little, if any, added sweetness. So instead of using "Sweet and Sour" mix, try using freshly squeezed lemon juice.
2 shots Midori or Amaretto,
1 shot Fresh Lemon Juice,
eggwhite (optional, makes the drink smoother, and gives it a foamy head).
Shake with ice, and then strain into an ice-filled whisky glass; garnish with a slice of lemon.

You could also make it a Stone sour by adding a splash of Orange juice to it.
