OK. if i get a 750ml of vodka, how many jello packets do i need to buy/what's the distribution on it all?

a regular packet of jello asks for one cup to boil... one cup to mix after boiling..... so..... i slightly more than one cup of water... then mix the water with the jello mix.. stir... then i pour in about 3/4 cup of vodka... then put it all in the fridge

We do about the same measurements here. The difference is we stick with the one cup of boiling water, then add about 3/4 cup alcohol and 1/4 cup water. We then pour into little plastic pill cups, like the ones the hospitals use for giving pills to patients. Layer them on trays and put into the fridge. Mix a variety of flavours and colors and you have a neat presentation when you serve.
The pill cups also add some fun. There's many techniques for pulling the jello out....
