Hot Burgundy Punch

Ingredients

1 bottle(s) Burgundy Wine (75 cl.) (more Burgundy Wine drinks)
1 1/2 cup(s) Water (Boiling) (more Water drinks)
1 cup(s) Apple Juice (more Apple Juice drinks)
1/4 cup(s) Sugar (more Sugar drinks)
1/2 tsp. Allspice (more Allspice drinks)
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg (more Nutmeg drinks)
1 Cinnamon Stick (About 8 cm. long) (more Cinnamon Stick drinks)
5 Cloves (more Cloves drinks)

Instructions

First dissolve the sugar in the water in a large saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients, except the wine. Heat for 15 minutes then strain into another saucepan and add the wine. Simmer over low heat for a few minutes. Serve in mugs or heat-proof cups and top with a sprinkle of nutmeg. This punch makes approximately 16 servings.
